The retail shop offers a great range of giftware, men’s, women’s and children’s clothing along with fishing and dive gear and divers air!
What a busy few months it has been! It kicked off the October long weekend with our family friendly community fundraiser fashion parade. Thank to all of our talented locals who supported the event as a model or spectator, your efforts raised great money for the wonderful bike track.
The Cray fishing season opened with the Blessing of the fleet to ask for good catches and safe seas for our fisherman. Blu Pod featured at the Beachport market day with Tiff hosting the inaugural DEAL OR NO DEAL stall, which was a great success! Blu Pod and Tiffany will now continue to be a highlight at future market days (WHERE YOU GET TO DO THE DEALING) – Next Beachport Market : January Saturday 7th, 2012. What a great start to what will be a wonderful festive season.!!
We have had a lot of locals and tourists giving the diving and snorkelling a go, with great abalone and Cray catches to be had. Also our brand spanking new kayaks are ready to be taken out on the water, with a few locals testing them out and even having the chance to kayak next to a group of dolphins. What an experience!. We have had some magnificent beach days lately which makes us all get excited for the months ahead. Time to get fit and get our bods into bathers . Blu Pod has a great range of boardies and Seafolly bathers to fit you out.
Now we are in the middle of the festive season and it’s starting to get crazy, the way we like it . We have been busy doing up Christmas hampers for our new side business BOX -WRAP-SEND , where we work with you to create the perfect gift through our professional gift questionnaire.
Welcome to Emma Chambers – Fantastic and enthusiastic Emma brings a great personality and creativity to Blu Pod. And with fishing in the family and her Lovely husband Clint happy to share his knowledge she can definitely hold her own across the store.
Of course Blu Pod is not Blu Pod without Tiffany – Tiff has had a huge year professionally and personally with a diploma in Retail Management underway and a greater set of responsibilities across BLU POD and BOX WRAP SEND. Tiff is also running rings around us all as she has lost over 40 kg along with conquering the Mt Gambier fun run with TEAM TIFF!. We cant help but rave about her.
We are all looking forward to the next few weeks ahead, were currently busy organising our SONG & BLACKBYRD cocktail fashion parade at the Beachport Hotel this Saturday 10th December 2011. Supported by DIGIORGIO WINES & BANKS FARGO, entertainment from ALICIA SAPIATZER & TORSTEN GUSTAVSSON. Not to mention our hot models!

With competitors travelling from as far away as Adelaide to compete, We are hoping for another great comp. The comp runs for 2 weeks over the school holidays from Friday 8th July and culminating with a presentation night at The Beachport Hotel on Saturday 23rd July.
This year’s categories are senior men’s/ladies and juniors (15 & under), Mystery Weight and a Bonus Prize Draw. The competitor weighing in the heaviest Salmon over the whole competition will have their name engraved on the much sought after trophy. Daily prizes are awarded for the heaviest fish and numerous on the spot beach prizes are also given out.
Registration forms are available from at Blupod At The Jetty and fees remain at $10 for seniors & $5 for Juniors. All profit from registrations goes directly to the Lions Club with over $1000 worth of prizes donated by local Beachport businesses.

What a busy month it has been indeed. We held our summer fashion parade on the 19th, the day panned out fabulously, the local models strutted their stuff on the catwalk which was held at Bompas, and the weather was just superb with locals sitting out on the lawn enjoying the show and a wine or two. The day was not only to celebrate our new summer stock, it was also to bid farewell to Corinne and Steven Spadotto who have sold their business Bompas. We now welcome Les, Heather and Kirsten from Adelaide.
We also had local artist JoJo Spook judge our Christmas Bauble competition. Belinda Whitehead took out 1st prize with her impressive 7 reindeer’s bauble. Annie Wiese won 2nd with her cool recycled funky land mind bauble. Then for Children under 12 we had Nicole Moran win with her craypot bauble and then Cameron Atkinson who done a wonderful job decorating his bauble.
Abi and I Hope you all had a great Christmas and wish you a safe and happy new year.
Only a few more weeks and Christmas is here, hard to believe I know. The Beachport locals are getting in on the Christmas spirit by decorating baubles, the competition will be heating up with all entries to be in by the 12th of this month. I believe the judges will have a hard time choosing winners because of what I have seen so far are just amazing a lot of creativity have gone into these decoration, the best part is anyone can be a part of it!
Also our summer fashion parade will be happening on the 19th of this month, where the baubles will the judged and winners will be announced.

Bring it on – Summer that is. Blu Pod with its ocean views loves to fly open its double doors and let the sunshine hit its groovy ocean coloured floorboards. Ready for sandy feet, salt water and sunkissed bodies looking for great buys from us. Tiff and I are going to share the role of bloggers for Blu Pod and also look forward to inviting guest bloggers for the site.
With summer comes our new summer trading hours – 7 days a week , yep Tiff and i will be batting up daily from Monday to Friday 9.30am – 3.30pm with Saturdays 10am until 3.00pm and Sunday 11.00 – 3.00pm So there is time for everyone to pop in and say hello.
POP FIZZ SATURDAY – Blu Pod is celebrating the festive Season by sharing around a glass of cheer every Saturday leading up until Chrismas. So drop in between 2.00pm and 3.00pm and raise a glass in the name of creativity.
